Update Instructions#

To update the software, you don't need to uninstall and reinstall the new version. Just download the desired version and install it. Please follow the installation instructions for more information.

Note: Make sure your subscription is active in order to be able to download the latest versions of the product.

Automatic update notification#

Notifications about automatic updates are enabled by default. You can change the behavior of update notifications in Visual Studio Tools | Options menu. In the dialog, navigate to Environment | Extensions and Updates and tick or untick the Automatically check for updates option (see picture below).
